CTET Central Teacher Eligibility Test Feb Form 2026
CTET Feb 2026 : Education Qualification
Any interested candidate who wants to apply for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Feb 2026 must have the minimum educational qualification to be eligible for this examination. These qualifications are different for CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2.
CTET (Class 1 to 5) Paper 1
- Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 50% marks.
- Also, they should have completed 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from a recognized University/Institute by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education from a recognized University/Institute. Must have completed, or be in the final year of, Bachelor of Education (BLED).
CTET (Class 6 to 8) Paper 2
- Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- It is necessary to have minimum 50% marks.
- Must have passed 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from a university/institute recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE).
- OR Must have passed 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BLED) from a recognized university/institution.
- Or should be studying in the final year.
Exam Pattern of CTET Feb 2026
1. Exam Process:
- CTET feb 2026 exam will be offline, which means it will not be a computer-based test (CBT). The questions have to be answered using pen on the OMR sheet.
2 . Details of Papers:
- CTET exam will be divided into two papers.
- Paper 1: Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5)
- Paper 2: Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6 to 8)
3. General Entries:
- Child Development and Educational Psychology and Language-1 (Hindi/English) subjects will be compulsory in both the papers.
4. Subject Description:
- Paper 1: Mathematics
- Paper 2: Choice of two subjects (Social Science/Science/Mathematics/Sanskrit/Urdu/Punjabi/Bengali/Assamese/Gujarati/Marathi/Kannada/Telugu/Tamil/Malayalam)
5. Paper Details:
- Paper 1: For Class 1 to 5 candidates
- Paper 2: For Class 6 to 8 candidates
6. Question Number:
- Total 150 multiple choice questions (MCQ) in each paper.
7. Marking Scheme:
- 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
8. period of time:
- The duration of both the papers will be 2.5 hours.
How To Apply CTET feb Online Form 2026
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in which the examination for Paper I to V and VI to VIII is being conducted for feb 2026. Candidates can apply online from 27/11/2026 to 18/12/2026.
- Note: This time the examination centers are limited in all cities, information about which candidates will be able to see live while filling the form. Candidates who wish to have the exam centre/city nearest to them should apply quickly as the exam center slots are limited.
- Candidates should read the notification carefully before applying online for CTET exam. Ensure that all the required documents – eligibility, ID proof, address details, basic details are collected.
- Keep ready the scanned documents related to recruitment form – photo, sign, ID proof etc.
- Preview and check all the columns carefully before submitting the application form.
- If the candidate is required to pay application fee then it is required to be deposited. Your form will not be complete if you do not have the required application fee.
