Eligibility Criteria:

For Science Subjects:-

• 10+2 (Intermediate): Must have passed with Mathematics, Physics, and English, securing at least 50% marks overall and 50% in English.
• Diploma in Engineering: 3-year diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation/IT with 50% marks overall and 50% in English.
• Vocational Course: 2-year vocational course with Non-Vocational subjects (Physics and Mathematics) with 50% aggregate and 50% in English.

For Other than Science Subjects:-

• 10+2 (Intermediate): Passed with 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
• Vocational Course: 2-year vocational course with 50% aggregate and 50% in English.

Medical Standards:-

1.Minimum height:

• Male: 152.5 cm
• Female: 152 cm
• Candidates from North East or hilly areas: 147 cm
• Lakshadweep candidates: 150 cm

2.Chest (only for males):

• Minimum chest: 77 cm
• Minimum expansion: 5 cm

3.Weight:

• Should be proportionate to height and age

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

1.For Male Candidates:

• Run 1.6 km in 7 minutes
• 10 push-ups in 1 minute
• 10 sit-ups in 1 minute
• 20 squats in 1 minute

2.For Female Candidates:

• Run 1.6 km in 8 minutes
• 10 sit-ups in 1 minute 30 seconds
• 15 squats in 1 minute

Indian Airforce Agniveer (Agnipath) Scheme Benefits – Intake 02/2026

• Age Eligibility: Candidates aged 17.5 to 21 years can apply.
• Service Duration: Youth will serve in the Indian Airforce for 4 years under the Agniveer scheme.
• Life Insurance: Agniveers will get a life insurance cover of ₹48 lakhs during their service period.
• Skill Certificate: A skill-set certificate will be awarded after completing 4 years of service.
• Leave:
  • Annual Leave: 30 days per year.
  • Sick Leave: Based on medical advice.
• Additional Benefits: Agniveers will receive new benefits every year under the Agnipath scheme.

Indian Airforce Agniveer Salary and Benefits

1. First Year: Monthly salary will be ₹30,000, out of which ₹21,000 will be in hand, and ₹9,000 will go to the Agniveer Corpus Fund.
2. Second Year: Monthly salary increases to ₹33,000, with ₹23,100 in hand and ₹9,900 contributed to the Corpus Fund.
3. Third Year: Salary rises to ₹36,500 per month, with ₹25,580 in hand and ₹10,950 added to the Corpus Fund.
4. Fourth Year: Monthly salary becomes ₹40,000, with ₹28,000 in hand and ₹12,000 allocated to the Corpus Fund.

Post-Completion Benefits:

• After 4 years, Agniveers will receive a Seva Nidhi Package of ₹11.71 lakh (including interest) and a Skill Gained Certificate.
• Up to 25% of Agniveers may be enrolled into the regular cadre of the Indian Airforce.
• Over 4 years, a total of ₹5.02 lakh will be contributed to the Corpus Fund.
