STET Result 2024: Normalization Process:Why Normalization is Needed:
The STET exam is conducted in multiple shifts with varying difficulty levels.Normalization ensures fairness by adjusting scores so no candidate is advantaged or disadvantaged. How Normalization Works:
The Z-Score Normalization Method adjusts raw scores (marks from correct answers) based on shift difficulty. The final score is the Normalized Score, used to determine the result. Result Basis:
Passing or failing depends on the Normalized Score, not the raw score.Passing marks are set by category (e.g., 50% for General, 40% for SC/ST). Example:
A general category candidate with a raw score of 76/150 has their score normalized to 74.90.Since the passing marks for General are 75, they will be considered failed. Impact of Wrong Answers:
No negative marking for wrong answers. However, too many incorrect responses may reduce the Normalized Score |
