NTA UGC NET June Online Form 2024 : The National Testing Agency (NTA) is pleased to invite online applications for the University Grants Commission (UGC) NET – 2024. The UGC-NET June 2023 edition will be conducted for ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ and eligibility for ‘Assistant Professor’ positions in 83 subjects, all in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

  • Starting date of Online application: 10.05.2024
  • Closing date of Online application: 20.05.2024
  • Fee Payment Last Date : 29/10/2023
  • Correction Date : 30-31 October 2023
  • Online Exam Date : 06-22 December 2023
  • Admit Card Available :04/12/2024
  • Result Declared  : 17/01/2024

Application Fees for NTA UGC NET

  • General : 1150/-
  • EWS / OBC : 600/-
  • SC / ST / PH : 325/-
  • Pay the Examination Fee Through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, E Challan

NTA UGC NET Age Limit : 

  • JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): Not more than 30 years as on 1st day of the month in which the examination is concluded i.e. 01.06.2024.
  • Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
  • Admission to PhD: There is no upper age limit for applying for UGC-NET for Admission to PhD.

NTA UGC NET Eligibility Criteria:

General/UR/General-EWS Candidates:

Must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent in the following fields:

  • Humanities and Social Science (including languages)
  • Computer Science and Applications
  • Electronic Science, etc.

List of subjects at Post Graduation level is attached as Appendix -V.

OBC belonging to Non-Creamy Layer/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender Category Candidates:
  • Must have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination.
Candidates Pursuing or Appearing for Master’s Degree:
  • Candidates pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course.
  • Candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited.
  • Such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/eligibility for Assistant Professor only after they have passed their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender category candidates).
  • Must complete their Master’s degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
